Ethical Issues

Biofiltration is a fairly noncontroversial topic.  The only issue that ever arises with the implementation of biofiltration is the ethicality of using science to alter the ecosystem.  Proponents of biofiltration say that they are not altering the ecosystem, but in fact are emulating and advancing it.

There are no documented legal issues surround biofiltration.  International governments have been compliant in sharing technologies and installing biofilters in areas where they are greatly needed.

Biofiltration is typically considered to be good for the people. In providing access to clean water, biofiltration can alleviate symptoms of poverty and disease in poor nations and can lower pollution in highly urbanized nations. The main issue that arises here is how to best get the technology up and running in areas that need it the most, which often are the same areas that have the least accessibilty to it.
